What is Certopact?
Certopact is a visitor identity platform with two products. Entry verifies who a person is using Aadhaar and DigiLocker; Access manages the whole visit — pre-registration, kiosk check-in, host approvals and badges. Both run on the same identity engine.
How does Certopact verify a visitor's identity?
Online, the visitor confirms an Aadhaar OTP (UIDAI AUA / KUA certified) and optionally pulls DigiLocker documents. The typed name is scored against the Aadhaar name, and low-confidence matches escalate to a receptionist. Offline, Certopact reads the secure QR code or an Aadhaar Paperless Offline e-KYC XML and validates UIDAI's digital signature — no OTP or live connection required.
What is OVSE / offline verification?
OVSE stands for Offline Verification Seeking Entity — UIDAI's framework for verifying Aadhaar without an online authentication call. Certopact Entry uses it to verify identity from the secure QR code on an Aadhaar or from a digitally-signed Paperless Offline e-KYC file, with the holder's consent and for a stated purpose. It's ideal where OTP delivery or connectivity is unreliable.
What is the Blacklist Visitor feature?
Blacklist Visitor lets you maintain a list of banned individuals. When a match is found during Entry verification or Access check-in, the visitor is flagged and stopped before they clear the front desk — so a person barred at one gate can't quietly walk in at another.
Do you store the Aadhaar number?
No. Verification works on the last four digits and UIDAI's signed response or offline data. The full Aadhaar number is never typed on the kiosk or stored, and offline verification is consent-based and purpose-limited.
Is Certopact DPDP compliant?
Yes — Certopact is built to align with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Verification is consent-first and purpose-limited, the full Aadhaar number is never stored, data is encrypted and hosted in India (GCP Mumbai region), and data-principal rights are supported. Can Certopact integrate with our HRMS?
Yes. Certopact offers a REST API and webhooks, so it can sync hosts and employees from your HRMS or directory, send host notifications, and push visit and check-in events back into your systems. Tell us your stack and we'll confirm the integration during onboarding.
Can Certopact integrate with our RFID or access-control system?
Yes. Once a visitor is verified and the host approves, Certopact can hand off to your turnstile, gate or access-control system via API/webhook to issue a time-bound credential, and revoke it on exit. Share your access-control vendor and we'll map the integration.
We don't have a kiosk or badge printer. Can Certopact provide them?
You don't need special hardware to begin — Certopact runs on a standard tablet or PC with a browser, and the reception console works on devices you already have. For self-service kiosks and on-arrival badge printing, we can recommend and supply compatible hardware (tablet stands, badge printers) as part of onboarding.
Can Certopact support multiple locations and plants?
Yes. A single tenant can run many plants and sites, each with its own users and visitor log, while admins see check-ins and analytics across all locations and export reports by email.
What makes Certopact different from a standard iPad kiosk?
A typical kiosk records what a visitor types. Certopact verifies it — against UIDAI and DigiLocker, with a name-match score — so an entry log becomes proof of identity, not just a signature.
